Hi team,

My customer is replacing ST3222EB, and TRS3232E seems to be a good match.

Could anyone please advise our best solution for this replacement and provide a comparison table?

The customer don't need EN pin and SHDN pin.

    For a pin-to-pin replacement, use the same number (MAX3222E/TRS3222E).

    The only difference between the 3222 and the 3232 indeed are the /EN and /PWRDOWN pins. The E indicates better ESD protection.

    Clemens is correct the MAX3222E and TRS3222E are both pin to pin replacements - and you can directly drop them in - the difference between the 3232E and 3222E is the auto-power down feature (EN and /SHDN pins) and I don't believe there is much of a cost advantage to using a different device.
