Hi TI,
We have Ethernet design based on
Does the MAC (XC7Z030) which is RGMII compatible with our PHY DP83826E which is RMII\MII ?
Zynq-7000-TRM - P16.6
XC7Z030 :
DP83826E :
We succeed to send PING but the communication is not stable
What we can do about it
Can we replace DP83826E with DP83822 that have RGMII interface ??
Your help we will be appreciated
Thanks in advance,
Meir
Hello Meir,
RGMII standard is by definition not compatible with MII or RMII interfaces and the communication will not be reliable.
I suggest moving to DP83822 for RGMII support.

Hi Gokul,
Thank for your answer
Can you share design file for DP83822 EVM - Altium Project ?
Literature Number: SNLU179
Another question:
How we succeed to transfer data in UDP\TCP packet if the interface is not compatible ? or Ping the device ?
Does RGMII can work with RMII ?

Meir
Hi Meir,

Does RGMII can work with RMII ?
RGMII can't work with RMII. So, you can't transfer any packets.
I'll check with our team on the Altium files and get back to you.
