Hi team,

We are performing SI simulation on board with DS250DF410 and DS250DF230 retimers. We couldn’t find an eye mask for these models. Could you please let me know about the recommended eye mask for these retimers’ receive side?

    Hi Jom,

    There isn't a strict eye mask for the retimer RX, although it's worth noting the jitter tolerance specifications in the datasheet.

    Our observation is that we generally observe good BER if the internal retimer eye monitor reports at least 0.4UI HEO and 200mVpp VEO.  Note that this internal eye monitor measures after the CTLE and DFE stages in the retimer, so this is not comparable to the receiver input to the retimer.

    Are you able to use IBIS-AMI models for these device in order to perform SI simulation? You can request these models through the link on the product page.
