Could you please give some advice about the reasons about this phenomenon?

    Hi Sam,

    This document is not in English could you clarify the following:

    • What exactly is the issue observed on the system? black screen never self recovers or flicker, etc. ?
    • What is the reproduction rate of the issue? (how many times it fails , does the suspect system ever works fine?) 
    • Is this in the vehicle or on the bench (production failure) , early prototype ?
    • How many units/systems have been produced/manufactured of this system?
    • How many units/systems have failed?
    • Can failure recover?
    • Is this a time zero failure (occur at power-up) or fails after some time ?
    • Does a Ser soft reset recover the system?
    • Did you do ABA swap and does the failure mode follow the 948 IC ?

    Hi Sam,

    This seems like an IC level issue. It seems like the 948 IC might be getting damaged. You need to send it to the quality team for ATE testing to see if there are any open/short continuity failures etc.

    Please go to ti.com then do the following:

    click on customer returns under quality & reliability 

    Click on CPR (Customer product return) 

    Fill out the form and submit your request then someone from quality team will be assigned to own this investigation.
