Hi,

Customer want a USB MUX and I find TS5USBC400.

Is it possible to layout without 'via in pad'?

And do we have other devices that can achieve same function with different package?

Hi Yishan,

For this device, you could do a dogbone structure trace for these pins, which would help avoid doing a via in pin.

What USB Speed are you looking for USB2, USB3, USB Type-C? For other USB2 muxes, we also have the TS3USB221/A/E, or the TMUXHS221.

As far as I know, this package is the only package we have for our USB2.0 Type-C Muxes.

Based on information I got right now, the speed is 480Mhz.

Could TS5USBC400 support USB2.0 and USB-type-C?

Hi Yishan,

The TS3USB211 technically does have two select pins. OE# and S. Would this work for the customer?

If they'd like a new package. Here is a list of potential passive muxes.
