Hi  TI,

Our customer is using IC DS90UB971 to be as serializer IC. We need to find out the I2C address of the slave IC attached with DS90UB971  , so that we can program the firmware into it .

Can you share me detailed method how can i find the salve IC I2C address?Do i   need to operate some registers and write  values  about IC DS90UB971?

    Hello Homan,

    there is no way the UB971 can detect the slave's I2C address. 

    However, if your I2C programming tool such as Aardvark or USB2ANY is connected to the I2C but on the DES side, you need to enable Pass-Through-All register bit. This register address is different from DES to DES.

    Once you enable that function, you need to use your programming tool to scan for remote devices.
