  • Hi Nison,

Can you clarify what you are testing?

Are you asking how we gathered data for the curves in the datasheet that you show?

    Best,

    Shane

  • Hi Nison,

From your message, I see you want to know how we gather the data for the typical characteristic chart you've shown.

    1. Number of samples: Use one device to get the data on

    2. Test tools: Need a VNA analyzer, a board with a calibration trace length (no 1002A) and a test trace length (with 1002A) of the same length and loss.

    3. Test standard/criterion: Make sure a 1002A device with typical characteristics is used in the test (no outlier or defective devices)

    4. Test steps:

    - Connect the VNA to the calibration trace and the trace with the 1002A present.

    - Set the desired EQ setting to test on the 1002A

    - Measure the loss from the calibration trace and the 1002A trace in the desired frequency range

    - Subtract the calibration trace loss from the 1002A trace loss. The difference is the actual dB gain applied at the tested EQ setting and frequency

    5. Judgement criteria: Since this is testing the behavior of the device there isn't a hard pass/fail. If the device is good, you should see a similar response to the curve in the datasheet.

    6. Precautions: Make sure the calibration trace and test trace have the same loss. If they do not, this could affect the test data.

    Best,

    Shane
