Hello team,

I am planning to use DP83TG720S-Q1 to one of my Automotive gateway design ,

I wanted to know , what frequency of signals, the DC blocking caps should be able to pass to have a communication.(I hope it is high pass filter).

Any methods to do the calculation of DC blocking caps.please provide the material to understand the value consideration of DC blocking caps.

Hi,

1. For SGMII/media ccess controller side, the clock frequency is 625 MHz.

For the caps, 0.1uF X7R 5% caps are recommended.

2. For MDI/Connector side, it is 0.1uF. This is defined in the 1000Base-T1 standard.
