LVDS Bridge requirement for CM4 IO board.pdfOur MPU is CM4. We have designed a customized CM4 carrier board as per our requirements in Rev1.0 design. Now we want to include LVDS display connector in our design. As said in the document CM4 has 2 channel and 4 channel DSI provision, taking these as inputs we have to give provision for LVDS Display. Please suggest a bridge IC for this requirement. Please let me know for any clarifications.
Thanks & Regards,

Hey Sai,
For this application it seems you are going from single link of DSI to a single link of LVDS. The best pat for this application in the SN65DSI83/ SN65DSI83-Q1. The Q1 is the automotive qualified version of the part. This will be able to handle 2 channel and 4 channel DSI.
Hi Vishesh,
Thanks for your reply, hope you have gone through the requirements file which i have shared and you understood. You have seen the 2 channel DSI pins and 4 channel DSI pins on CM4 and we need converter to drive these to LVDS display. If we have to use SN65DSI83-Q1 part. please suggest what could be the signals traced on to the 30pins connector (LVDS connector).

Hey Sai,
Please have a look at the reference circuit seen in the users guide: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sllu221/sllu221.pdf?ts=1727193390892&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Ftool%252FSN65DSI83EVM%253FkeyMatch%253Ddsi83%2526tisearch%253Duniversal_search%2526usecase%253Dpartmatches
Hi Vishesh,

Hi Vishesh,
Please check the Page.3 in the above shared document. We have a 30 pin LVDS signals on it. So, interface 4 data line DSI to 4 data line LVDS how many bridge ICs i have to use? please confirm on this point.
The DSI83 has a 4 lane data and 1 lane clock DSI input; it also has a 4 data lane and 1 clock lane LVDS output. You will only need 1 DSI83.
