TIC12400-Q1: ±1V ground shift

Part Number: TIC12400-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIC12400,

Tool/software:

Hello team,

Regarding TIC12400, customer is using analog function, in datasheet ± 1V ground offset needs to be considered, what will be the cause of this ground offset? must be considered?

Because for a multi-gear analog switch, considering the ground offset, there would be a gap interval greater than 2V between adjacent gears, but this is difficult to achieve for multi-gear switches.

Thanks!

Daniel Wang

  • Hi Daniel,

Thank you for your question. Can you let me know where in the datasheet you are referring to?

    Thank you, Amy

  • Hello Amy,

    Pls check the screenshot:

  • Hi Daniel,

Thank you for sharing this. The non -Q1 datasheet doesn't mention it and that is what I was looking at.

The ground shift comes from the switch reference point and the ground reference of the TIC12400-Q1. This is what causes the up +/- 1V ground shift in the system and why there may be up to a +/- 1V of potential difference. As an example, refer to the specifications as outlined in Table 9-4/9-5.

    Thanks,

    Amy
