Hello there!
Are there any recommendations/application notes on power-over-twisted pair with FPD-III serializers?
Also, are there any downturns to use CAT5/6/7 Ethernet cables for such purposes?
Thanks!

Hi Andrey,
Are they sending data and power over the same wire or separate wires part of the STP? If DC power and AC signals need to be separated, further filter circuitry will be needed.
These previous E2Es have some information about this:
https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/915708/ds90ub948-q1-power-over-stq
The cables and connector used should meet the Channel Specification requirements (IL, RL, impedance, etc. requirements) (these can be requested from the "fpd/" sharepoint).
The EVM user guide also has some cable references: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snlu140a/snlu140a.pdf
Best regards,
Ikram
