DS92LV0412

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS92LV0411, DS15BA101, DS15EA101, DS92LV0422

Hi, I'm disty of Japan area.
Please help me.

My customer is considering LVDS Ser/Des.
Application is Laser Printer.
Image size is QVGA.
Transmission distance is 0.5m.
P-Clock is 5~15MHz.

Is it possible for <DS92LV0411/0412> to transmit QVGA signal?

Thier concern is that target application of <DS92LV0411/0412> is XGA or SVGA.
In this case, P-Clock is 5MHz(min).
They are afraid of signal transmission QVGA whether <DS92LV0411/0412> can realize.

I'm waiting for your reply.
Best regards.

  • Greetings Ryuji-San,

This depends on the loss of the cable. One idea the customer can consider is to use DS92LV0411/0412 with DS15EA101/DS15BA101 in order to meet the cable distance.

  • Hi,

Can you provide a diagram of the customer's application?

The DS92LV0411 and DS92LV0422 are capable of supporting clock speeds as slow as 5MHz and as fast as 50MHz.

These parts can operate at any frequency between 5MHz and 50MHz, so it will support your customers clock range of 5 to 15 MHz.

0.5 m of serial cable length is most likely not a problem, but it will depend on the cables loss characteristics. These devices have integrated de-emphasis and equalization to assist with achieving longer cable lengths. As Nasser noted, you can also consider using an external cable driver and equalizer for longer cable reach applications.
