TUSB522P vs. SN65LVPE512

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVPE512, TUSB522P, TUSB1002

Hi @ all,

in a current design we use the SN65LVPE512 for the host and the device side.

Now we have problems with the negotiation of the USB 3.1 device and if the negotiation is successful, only USB 2 Speed is possible over the channel.

Do you think that with the TUSB522P we can solve that problem? (Because in the datasheet of the TUSB522P it is written "No HOST/DEVICE-Side Requirement".

Whats exactly the main difference of that two IC's? I think at a first glance the TUSB522P offer less equalization gain (9dB) as the SN65LVPE512 (15dB).

Attached you can find our desired USB 3.1 channel topology.

Thank you in advance!
