DS25BR150: open LVDS input

Part Number: DS25BR150

Hi

do i need some external pull up/down resistors if i have no driving output connected to the ds25br150 input?

thanks for your answers

  • Hi Robert,

The DS25BR150 does not have an internal mechanism to shut off the output when no signal is present on the input. The LVDS circuitry is relatively high gain so even the 30mV of noise will translate into relatively full swing output oscillations.  We recommend using a fail-safe bias in case there is no input provided to the DS25BR150 while the device is on. A fail-safe circuit looks similar to below:

    Thanks,
