TPS2069D: The behavior of the internal FET switch when the capacitive load is connected on VBUS

Hi, Support team

When the capacitive load is connected on VBUS, the inrush current flows through the internal FET switch.

In this case, does TPS2069D  quickly turn off the internal FET switch?

If it turns off, are there any delay timer to turn on the FET again?

As far as I see the bloack diagram of TPS2069D and TPS2553D, the operating function and processing of both devices is almost same, without reverse voltage protection , output discharge function and the point of current sensing.

Are there anything else as the difference?

    1. In this case, does TPS2069D quickly turn off the internal FET switch?
    [Answer]: If the cap is big , It will let the FET turn off ( just like short circuit )

    2. If it turns off, are there any delay timer to turn on the FET again?
    [Answer]: Yes, It will have delay time to turn on the FET. The time is variable base on different Vin and vout .

    3. TPS2069D is fix current , the current limit accuracy is 20% , TPS2553D is adjustable current limit , the accuracy is 6%.

    Are there any data showing relations of "delay timer" and "difference Vin and Vout"?

    Basically, do all USB power switch of TPS20xx and TPS25xx have delay timer?

    By the way, what is the difference of TPS2069 and TPS2069D? As far as I see datasheet, it looks like that both devices is the same.

    Basically, do all USB power switch of TPS20xx and TPS25xx have delay timer?
    [Answer]: Yes, both of them have delay time during hot short .
    By the way, what is the difference of TPS2069 and TPS2069D? As far as I see datasheet, it looks like that both devices is the same.
    [Answer]: TPS2069D is cost down version of TPS2069 which bonding wire change from Au to Cu.

    Have you heard that USB stick memory is not identified in market?

    Hi,
    Yes, we have hear the USB memory disk not identify in the market, the root cause is the current limit make the output voltage drop , these drop touch the USB disk UVLO.
