Hello team,
I sent the following post to my customer: https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface/usb/f/1008/p/628692/2321247
Unfortunately, the customer was not able to resolve his issue. Can you give me more information about the Register 0x2D. The App Note states that e.g. "App Cust Length Error" is reserved.
The background of the customer issue is the following:
They are using the FTDI chip of the EVM to flash the application via SPI and or I2C (tried both). The first flash attempt was using the TPS6598x Host interface utility tool. When starting the IC it remains in BOOT Mode (Register 0x3):
The Boot Flag Register (0x2D) contains the following values:
Do you have a explanation of this issue and a proposal how to resolve it? What needs to be considered for the first flashing process?
Thank you and kind regards,
Felix
Hi Felix,
Are you using version 3.18 of the Application Customization Tool from TI.com? If you select any of the TPS65982 templates you can load them onto your EVM by selecting Device --> Flash App Firmware to Device. This should be a good starting point to get your EVM working. You can also use "Debug Mode" from the Application Customization Tool to read back all of the registers.
If this answers your question, PLEASE select This resolved my issue
Thank you,
Eric
