Hello ,

Our customer is evaluating DS90UB960-Q1. they want to know the issue below:

1. How long is the transmission distance? Can it reach 15 meters?

2. Do it need additional protection? such as TVS/ESD ?

3. Can the speed of DS90UB960 up to be 4Gbps when the 4 channels work simultaneously?

Hello,
Please refer to the latest DS90UB960 datasheet released on ti.com.
It can support upto 4.16Gbps with data from 4 sensors simultaneously. The maximum cable reach is based on signal integrity and system design factors such as jitter, skew, ISI, crosstalk and so on. The datasheet table 5 provides the acceptable loss characteristics to achieve 15m distance and also table 6 provides the transmission channel requirements.
