Hi Team,
Under VBUS2-to-PP_HV2 is used for VBUS Source and VBUS1-to-PP_HV1 is not used, when VIN_3V3 is off, LDO_3V3 is powered from VBUS2, right? Because LDO_3V3 is powered form lower one between VBUS1 and VBUS2, right?
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Koshi Ninomiya
Hi Ninomiya-san,
No, the VBUS LDO will only be activated when the PD controller is acting as a sink. The PD controller will not be able to become a source if there is no VIN_3V3 present. Additionally, it is recommended to tie VBUS1 to VBUS2 as VBUS1 is used for ADC measurements on VBUS to detect Over Voltage and Under Voltage protection scenarios.
