SN65DSI86 support team
I have two questions:
1. The panel specification that customer uses is as follows
How many lanes should they use for DSI between SoC and SN65DSI86l?
2. The datasheet is mentioned as follows :
How much is the specific loss at above condition ?
Customer need to use not FR4, but micro-coax cable which the length is 20cm. They would like to estimate the total loss in considering a micro-coax cable.
Note. the below is a guidelines of a micro-coax cable shown by Intel.
Thanks

DSI86 can support up to pre-emphasis level 3 (~9dB), not enabled by default, so you need to make sure the total insertion loss (20cm micro-coax cable + connector + board trace length) is within the max supported pre-emphasis level.
Please refer to the programming guide for the DSI lane calculation: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slla425/slla425.pdf
Thanks
