SN75DP128A: drive strength and DP distance capability

Hello team,

I have a customer asking some questions on the SN75DP128A.

1. Do we have any reference schematics for this device? i did not see an EVM on ti.com, did i miss something?

2. What length of DP can this device drive? min/max (under what conditions)

3. one of the DP output is connected to a Serializer on the same board, and the other one is external - would this cause a problem? Can one throttle the internally connected DP to not drive it as much and drive the 2nd channel (external) more? - In general any concerns with connecting to an internal/local DP connection with this device?

1. We do not have a reference schematic for DP128, but I can review customer's schematic and layout.

2. The length of DP can be driven depending on the driving capability of the source and receiving capability of the sink.

3. The DP128 is a DP switch, not a DP hub. Depending on the state of LP, Priority, HPD signal, one output will be active while the other one will be in High-Z state.
