Hi Team,

Here is a requirement as below. EE is smartphone. The device will be put before charger.

Vin=2.8~12V, absolute value is 28V, has OVP function, integrated Rdson is below 55ohm, Iout is 4.5V. single channel.

System ESD test: IED61000-4-2, contact >=8kV, air >=15kV.

Please kindly check if there is proper device. Thanks.

Hi Given,
I think there is a typo above about Iout. Please correct.
We have several charger front end ICs like BQ24308 or BQ24380 or BQ24351 which could be interesting devices for this project but need the correct Iout to be specified to confirm.

Hi David,

There is another typo.

Rdson of Integrated MOS is below 55mohm. Customer need the MOS to do OVP function when Vbus voltage is above OVP threshold, also the threshold of OVP needs to be adjusted. Thanks.

We have the BQ24350/1/2 with the integrated charging FET but the max OCP is 1.2A.

Can we suggest a device without integrated FET?

Customer request integrated MOSFET. But if we do not have such device, I can discuss with customer if they have interest on our without integrated FET solution, do you have recommendation?

Look at BQ24380/1/2. The OVP thresholds are not programmable by the customer but the same IC exists with 3 different OVPs.
