Hi Team,

I would like to ask about the folowing table 8.
My customer wants to set 1.5A CC capability broadcast in DCP auto mode.
Is it possible?


Regarding Table 8, it seems it isn't possible but I would like to confirm just in case.

    Hi Yaita,

    You choose TPS25833-Q1 I assume this is the type C port. In the type C configuration, the broadcast current will fix in table 8. We can't change any.

    Yes, my customer considers using TPS25833-Q1 for type-C port.
    I would like to ask an additional question.

    Why boradcast current is 3A for CDP and 1.5A for SDP in table 8?
    note) The datasheet also shows the following in table 5.

    Hi Yaita,

    The table 5 is for the type A port BC1.2 specification standard.

    The table 8 is show TPS25833-Q1 configure in type A and type C port different application. In the real application we only choose one port configuration. So, this will not impact each other.
