SN65HVD379: Can 422 transceiver be used for 485 transceiver if connecting A to Y and B to Z?

Hi, Expert, 

485 has two wires, and 422 has four wires. So if am using a 422 traceiver, Can I connect A to Y and B to Z for 485 application?

    Hello,

    Would it be possible to provide a diagram of the connections you intend to make? Typically it is OK to connect Y to A and B to Z in order to use a full duplex (4 wire) system in a half duplex (2 wire) mode. However, I want to make sure I understand this application properly so I don't misguide you.
