Hello,
Is there any documentation detailing the I2C R/W in debug mode in the configuration tool? It's mentioned in this E2E thread https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface/f/138/p/903250/3338937 but I can't seem to find anywhere that goes into detail on this feature.
Thanks,
Michael
Hi Michael,
Unfortunately there is not any further information about the I2C R/W commands for the TPS65987D. However, this is a pretty straight forward command. Whatever you write in the data register the PD controller will output on its I2C master channel
Hi Adam,
So my customer has set "I2C1 Enable as Master" in Global System Configuration and added a slave configuration in I2C Master Configuration. However, when trying to use the I2Cw commands they aren't seeing any activity on the I2C lines. Is there another setting we might be missing?
Thanks,
Michael
Hi Michael,
You can reference the following app note to help implement the TPS65987D as a master. Let me know if you have any further questions after reading through this app note
Hi Adam,
We've reviewed the app note and we believe we've set up the GUI correctly based on the instructions. However it doesn't look like there's anything in there about using the I2C r/w in debug mode, which is where we are having trouble. We are seeing no I2C activity on the I2C lines at all. Are there any additional changes that need to be made to make it work?
Thanks,
Michael
Hi Michael,
Let me check with the team on this one. Will get back to you next week.
