DP83849I: DP83849I and DP83849IF

Dear team,

My customer want to use DP83849IF to replace DP83849I because of supply shortage.

1. Do you have any suggestion about what they need to pay attention to? Will it be a smooth transfer?

2. If they don't need the flex port feature, can they consider DP83849ID?

Thank you for the query.

You can use the DP83849ID as the default interface for the device seems to be copper interface. Same for DP83849IF.

I would assume customer will do some quick testing on few prototypes to confirm and this is recomended.

Hello Victor,

By the datasheet comparison, this should work.

Customer will have to tests few prototype to be sure there are no issues since i am not familiar with customer hardware.
