DP159RSBEVM: Errors in the user´s guide

Two issues:

1.There are some mistakes in the user´s guide of the Evaluation Module DP159RSBEVM:

a) In the schematics page 4 is double and page 6 (with the reset button) is missing

b) In the description of the Eye Scan software (chapter 2.7 on page 8)  you can read:

"Please note that Eye Scan cannot be performed when the device is in retimer mode, it does not function in redriver mode."

Which one of this modes  work with Eye Scan?

2. Is it possible to use the HDMI input port for evluating the HDMI to HDMI mode instead of DisplayPort to HDMI? how to set the Jumpers and other things (Software?)?

    Hi,

    1 . a) OK, we will get this corrected.
    b) The Eyescan utility can be used in either mode, but the scan function will only work in retimer mode.

    2. The EVM ships without the HDMI port installed. You would need to populate the connector and move resistors on the EVM to enable HDMI. See section 2.5 of the EVM Users Guide for more details. The DP159 is designed for a AC coupled DP++ input, if you are looking at an HDMI to HDMI application, I would recommend using the TMDS181 instead.
