Hi,

I want to use the DP83867IRPAP RGMII interface with AM3358's RGMII interface. I wish the RGMII interface should be configured like the following after I design the strap pins:

1. RGMII interface should be enabled after power on, so I think the Pin50(RX_D6) should be strapped as the mode 4

2. the "auto negotiation" of this RGMII interface should be enabled after power on, so I think the Pin53(RX_DV/RX_CTRL) should be strapped as mode 3

but I checked the EVM reference design schematics, they strapped the Pin50 as the mode2, and the Pin53 as mode1(open , open)

could you help me to make sure the Pin50 and Pin53 strap configuration?

    Hello Li,

    In order to strap the device into RGMII mode, RX_D6 (pin 50) should be strapped into mode 1 or 2. This is described in 8.4.1 of the datasheet. 

    Auto-negotiation enabled by strapping RX_DV to mode 3 and external strap resistors, described in Table 4, are required for this pin.
