①Is the output current rating(Max) below due to the heat problem or the output voltage(VOH/VOL) cannot be maintained ?

② Are these specs for total channel output current or per channel?

■SN74LV4T125

VOL/VOH：　±16mA(VCC=4.5V VOH/VOL(MAX))

IO Continuous output current ：　±35mA(Absolute Max)

Continuous current through VCC or GND：±70mA(Absolute Max)

■SN74LV4T125

VOL/VOH：　±32mA(VCC=4.5V VOH/VOL(MAX))

IO Continuous output current：　±50mA(Absolute Max)

Continuous current through VCC or GND：±200mA(Absolute Max)

When you exceed the absolute maximum rating, the device might get damaged.
When you exceed the recommended operation condition, the device might no longer meet the electrical characteristics (like V_OH/V_OL), or even not work at all.

All ratings are per pin. But the V_CC/GND ratings put a limit on the total current that is sourced or sunk by all I/O pins.
