SN74LV1T125: spec check

Part Number: SN74LV1T125
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC1G125, SN74LVC1G34, SN74AHC1G125, TXS0102, TXB0302

Hi

Could you help confirm if there are any other suggestions

1 bit level shift IC

Level Shifter from 5v to 3.3v

Will use SN74LV1T125

2 bits level shift IC PACKAGE: DQM or DQE

Voltage:1.8V~3.3V

Will use TXS0102DQMR

  • 1. This works; you can also use any buffer with overvoltage-tolerant input, e.g., SN74LVC1G34, SN74LVC1G125, SN74AHC1G125.

    2. The TXS works for open-drain signals. Does this need to be bidirectional?

  • Hey Gareth,

In addition to Clemens' answer, please provide if there are any system requirements (i.e, what signals are being interfaced, desired data rate, strict timing specs) to further help specify which device to be recommended.

    Regard,

    Jack

  • Hi Clemens/Jack

1bit is mainly used on GPIO. The rate and timing are not required. I hope it is packaged in SOT-363. Nvidia public boards use SN74LV1T125 Do Level shift between 5V-3.3V

2bit is mainly used on uart & GPIO. The rate and timing are not required. I hope it is packaged in TSOT23-8. Nvidia public boards use TXB0302DQMR Do Level shift between 3.3V-1.8V

  • 1. You can use any of these '125 devices.

    2. Why don't you want to use the TXB0302? Anyway, the TXS0102 has the same pinout and will work for UART signals.
