TXS0108E: TXS0108E

Part Number: TXS0108E

Hi Team,

TXS0108EPWR used as level shifter, obsevation is that it was failed in ESD testing at ±6 kV and ±8 kV in air discharge.

The criteria for ESD testing is upto ±15 kV in air discharge and ±8 kV contact discharge.

How we can pass the ESD test with ±15 kV in air discharge with TXS0108EPWR?

Is there any drop in replacement to having high ESD ratings?

  • Most logic devices have ESD protection that can handle nothing more than what happens during automated assmebly.

The TXS actually has better ESD protection on the B pins, but it's only 8 kV contact, 6 kV air-gap. There is no better replacement; to protect signals/pins against touching by humans, you need external protection components.
