We are plannig to use this buffer SN74AVC16T245 to control the different LEDs.
8 bicolor LEDs will sink 20mA current each from buffer SN74AVC16T245.
And for remaining 8 LEDs, the buffer will sink 20mA each from the LEDs and external supply.
We want to know suitability of this part, when using in above fashion.
If this is not suitable kindly suggest other solution to drive these LEDs.
LEDs to be driven from independent GPIOs and not through SPI or I2C interface.
There is a 100 mA limit for the entire chip.
You need to use LVC or LXC devices, and they must be small enough that you do not exceed the 100 mA limit. Use the SN74LVC3G07 when switching to ground, or SN74LVC2T45/SN74LXC1T14 when switching to VCC.
