SN74ALVC164245: Is it possible to connect the outputs in parallel

Dear Specialists,

My customer is considering SN74ALVC164245 outputs in parallel directly.

Currently they use SN74ALS640B-1. The output current is 48mA.

So they are thinking of connecting the 24mA output in parallel to obtain 48mA.

SN74ALVC164245 is CMOS Logic.

According to the FAQ, it is possible, is it correct?
