Hi Team,

We are designing TXV0106 in RGMII and want to double check if this device can support 150mm trace length.

We know there are some parameter will impact the result, but in general, does our device can support this application?

Hi Ben,

Yes, the device will function in general but will recommend ensuring timing parameters are not compromised as additional trace length adds additional capacitance, thanks.

Hi Michael,

So the trace length should not an issue. But additional pin cap need to double check timing parameter.

Another question here is, how long of trace length our device can support in general?

Hi Ben,

Device will work. However, my feedback was for any timing requirement i.e. the shorter the trace, the lower the lumped capacitive loading for optimized timing / signal integrity. I further estimated 150 mm for 1 ns transmission line delay. Please see below performance with and without series resistor.
