TXB0106: Output Current in the operating condition

Part Number: TXB0106

The TXB0106 is having the maximum continuous output  current of 50mA in the absolute maximum ratings. I would like to get the info of the output current (typical) in the operating condition. The Vccb will be at 5V and Vcca will be 3.3V.

    Hey Eldho,

    If you are looking for a device providing DC drive strength, auto-bidirectional translators such as this will not be the best option. The TXB0106's typ. output drive is very little, (denoted by IOH/ IOL values in datasheet). Note the output drive of this device is reduced by the internal 4kohm series resistors at the outputs intentionally in order to support the auto-bidirectional functionality. 

    Instead, please see similar 6-ch fixed direction translators from this TI landing page.

    Hi Jack,

    Thanks for the info. For me I need to have a bidirectional translator. I would like to get a part with a drive strength above 25mA. Will you be able to suggest a part for that.

    Auto-bidirectional translators do not have a high drive strength because they must allow other devices to override the voltage.

    What is the actual problem you're trying to solve?
