SN74LV541AT: ICC Power Consumption

Part Number: SN74LV541AT

Tool/software:

Whey the ICC power consumption has big difference. LV series is only 20uA, but ABT is up to 30mA. Why? What're the both process?

and also, why there is no ICC value with output high, output low and output disabled on LV series? Could you kindly help to clarify it! Very thanks.

  • LV-AT devices are pure CMOS. ABT devices use BJTs, so they need more current. When an ABT output is low, the base current of Q4 flows from VCC into GND. (Current that flows into or out of the load is not measured as ICC.)
