Inquiry regarding SN74HCU04 output drive current

Hello, all

Now I am referring to the datasheet of SN74HCU04 (SCLS079E).

I would like to ask you for the output drive current of this device in case of 3.3V operation.

I could not find this information on the datasheet except the case 5V as +/-4mA.

I have checked other HC devices and they are able to proved 4ma drive at 3.3V. You would use .33 for Vol and 2.8 for voh.

Hello, thank you for your prompt reply.

I checked the datasheet of other SN74HC devices which have 6 gates for this clarification.

However, any of other devices's datasheet (such as SN74HC05 or 14) did not mention 4mA for 3.3V.

Would you please let me clarify which part's datasheet did you refer to?

If you look at the HC05 datasheet and look at VOL you will see the IOL is 4ma at 4.5V. This part is open drain so it will have no high drive.

Look at the SN74HC04 you will see voh and Vol spec show 4ma at 4.5V.
