SN74LS624: Voltage and Frequency Control

Hi,

I am an undergraduate at the University of Toronto and am looking for advice on selecting a VCO. I want to be able to control the output voltage, as well as the frequency but am not sure how to do so. 

Any help would be much appreciated!

    NOTE: output freq needs to be very wide, 1Hz to 300kHz

    Hello Conrad,

    Unfortunately, we don't have any devices in our portfolio that can support that frequency range.

    The VCO's that we have (like the one you put in the post) generally operate in the MHZ range.

    I think you might be hard-pressed to find a single part that goes as low as 1 Hz AND has the dynamic range that you need for a VCO. 

    What are you ultimately trying to acheive with this?

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for the input - maybe we can use multiple VCO's to achieve this range? We would like to add excitation signals to our circuit over that frequency range.

    Would we be able to do it with say 10 VCO's and split the range between them?

    Any recommendations would be appreciated.

    Hello Conrad,

    Unfortunately, there are no solutions that I know of. 

    Your best bet may be just to search the web to see if other solutions exist for this kind of application.
