I need help evaluating some TI parts that we have been processing for Kollsman.
We just completed an experiment where we closely monitored these glass IC’s through the entire the manufacturing process.
We were looking for damage to these glass parts.
What we saw was broken corners, broken edges that is noticeable under about 20x magnification.
We found 83 out of 168 components evaluated where we saw some damage(?) to components.
What are the functional characteristic under these visual defects – do these still function?
Spec sheet says there are no special handling requirements for these parts.
We did find 1 damaged part in tape and reel.”
