TXS0206: Any voltage translator for SPI/ QSPI?

Part Number: TXS0206
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0106

I need to attach a 3V3 QSPI flash memory to an FPGA powered at 1V5. I can't change the FPGA supply for other restrictions and there seems not be 1V5 serial flash memories... As far as I know, SD cards use QSPI so I wonder if the TXS0206 will also work for a QSPI chip memory. Is that chip usable for that purpose or is there any other solution?

  • Juan,

There is another consideration before I can recommend this device for SD card QSPI.
What is the data rate required? As I see the spec on the datasheet, the clock speed supports 55Mhz push pull max for 3.3 <>1.5V translation.
There is also six channel auto BD translator TXB0106 which could be considered, but that is also limited to 100Mbps data rate.
    Let me know.
