SN74AUP1T34-Q1: whether the part support signal direction from high voltage to low voltage

Part Number: SN74AUP1T34-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: 2N7001T, SN74AXC1T45

in datasheet, there is only introduction about the application of signal from low voltage to high voltage. please tell if it support the voltage reduction case.

  • Zhipei,

The SN74aUP1T34-Q1 supports both high to low and low to high translation. Both the Vcca and Vccb supports voltage range from 0.9 to 3.6V.

What is the application voltage ranges/ and other requirements?

You could also consider using the new products 2N7001T or  SN74AXC1T45 for up and/or down translation.

  • Hi Rao,

Thanks for your information, very appreciated!

In my case, the application voltage need to be translated from 3.3 Volts to 1 Volts/1.8Volts with  around 1.6MHz signal frequency. please comment if there is any concern since the datasheet are just about signal translation from low voltage to high voltage.

I will check your recommendation about the new products. Thanks!

    Zhipei

  • Hi Zhipei,
The speed of a device is heavily influenced by the output supply voltage - that's what will most significantly limit the speed because the output has to drive a much larger load than any internal logic.

So, for your example, your output is either 1 V or 1.8V. The SN74AXC1T45 definitely won't have any problems with that speed at either of those voltages.
  • Hi Maier,

Thanks for your replying. Now I will go to close the subject.
