TXB0106-Q1: Pull down resistor at OE

Part Number: TXB0106-Q1

Hi team,

I have 3 questions below for TXB0106-Q1 use case.

1) I plan to use 1.8V - 3.3V level translation. 3.3V power up first and then 1.8V rail power up.

Is that OK to directly connect 1.8V rail to OE pin? I placed 1Mohm resistor, but now I am considering to remove it.

2) It is recommended to place external pull down resistor in the datasheet. Is there any internal pull down resistor?

If yes, how much is the value?

3) Is there any restrictions in power down sequencing for OE pin? for example Must pull OE pin Low before Vcca/Vccb shut off?

regards,

  • The 1 MΩ pull-down resistor is useful if the 1.8 V supply can be open (floating). If the supply is at 0 V when off, the resistor is not needed.

There is no internal pull-down resistor.

For the TXB device itself, there are no power sequencing requirements (see section 10 of the datasheet). But if the OE pin is still high while the power is not stable, you might see wrong values at the I/Os. If you circuit cannot handle that, you need to pull OE down at that time.
