LSF0101: How to simulate with LSF0101 PSPICE Transient Model in HSPICE

Hi

I wish to simulate with LSF0101 PSPICE Transient Model in HSPICE (N-2017.12-SP2). 

Please help with the documentation on connectivity and how to feed input stimulus.

Is there a user guide on simulating with their encrypted spice model?

    Pspice model file can run on Cadence Orcad and TINA (possibly) but cant run on Hspice platform.

    Only Hspice encrypted / unencrypted models can run on Hspice simulators without issues.

  • Hi Sanjeev,

    The PSpice transient model for that device is encrypted and will need to be used with PSpice (pspice.com).

    You might try out this model below and see if it works for you:

    4760.0741.LSF0101.TSC

    Thanks for sharing the model. I was able to simulate with this. Please find attached foil with simulation result summary. 

    Please note that for the bus where we need the level translator, there is always a pull down (225Ohms to 650ohms) on the host side. 

    Can you please confirm if the the results from simulation is correct?

    I have an additional request. We  wish to check with TI device TXB0302. Can you please help with TINA SPICE model for this device ?

  • Hi Sanjeev,

    I would highly recommend using the encrypted model along with pspice (there is a free trial for the software) as the model is exceedingly accurate compared to the model I sent for TINA-TI.

    That said: the simulations do look correct. The internals of the LSF translator is simply a pass transistor, and thus don't supply any current to the lines. If you could remove the pulldown on the host side, the LSF would best fit for your purpose; however, in the current configuration, the LSF may not be the best fit.
