SN74LV08A: Behavior on increasing "Input transition rise and fall rate"

Hi,

On the datasheet of SN74LV08A, there is a description of Δt/ΔV=100ns/V when Vcc=3.3V.

If this is exceeded, are there any concerns about device failure due to shoot-through current inside the device? Please let us know.
Specifically, could you please let us know what concerns you have on 10usec/V.

Just below that specification is a footnote. which links to a document describing the possible damage:

(1) All unused inputs of the device must be held at V_CC or GND to ensure proper device operation. Refer to the TI application report, Implications of Slow or Floating CMOS Inputs (SCBA004).
