SN74LVC8T245: Auto device recommendation: 2us input signal rise time

Hi Team,

Customer is using SN74LVC8T245-Q1. The input signal rise time can't achieve the requirement in the datasheet. The input pin has RC filter(100Ω+3.3nF), the RC filter can't be moved in the system due to the noise in system.

Could you recommend a new device for customer? It must be the automotive device.

This would require a device with Schmitt-trigger inputs.

Would it be possible to add a separate buffer? Or to use a translator that has pull-up resistors on all signals?

Hey Songzhen,

The SN74LXC8T245-Q1 will be a p2p replacement that includes schmitt-triggers on the inputs so it will have no issue with this application. I recommend they switch to that device.
