SN74LVC4245A: What is A side output status when VCCA is powered up, VCCB is powered down, OE, DIR, and B input is 0V?

Hi Team,

In my customer's application circuit, there is a condition that SN74LVC4245A's A-side is powered on, while B-side is powered down, and /OE and DIR are grounded, and all B side input signals are pulled down through a resistor, they want to know that in this condition can the A-side signal be guaranteed to output low?

Hey John,

They are not operating in the bounds of the specifications so no operation is guaranteed. Since the control circuitry is powered from VccA, it should be possible to disable the I/O with the OE pin and then have a pull-down on the A port I/O.
