TM4C1233E6PM: voltage per ADC code

Part Number: TM4C1233E6PM

Hi team

For the datasheet description on p.783, it mentions 'mV per ADC code = (VREFP - VREFN) / 4096'

Just a quick confirmation, is the unit in the equation correct? Shouldn't it be 'V per ADC code'?

Regards

David

  • Hello David,

The unit would be set by how the user actually uses the equation. If you use 3300mV and 0mV then it would be mV. If you use 3.3V and 0V then it would be in volts. The equation here assumes that the user would use mV as that is usually the desired unit output, but it really is input dependent.

  • Hi Ralph

Understood, I asked this because the description on the datasheet seems quite confusing as the VDDA pin unit marked as V while the equation I mentioned above is mV, and a customer asked for confirmation.

    Much appreciate!
