AM263P4-Q1: SDK Version Migration 9.02 to 10.1

Part Number: AM263P4-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

My customer wants to migrate the SDK version used from 9.02 to 10.1. Is there any migration guide they can follow?

Is there also any document they should check between these two versions other than the Release Notes?

A few questions about release notes on the migration:

  • If an issue is found on v.10.1 that applies to v9.02, will the release notes for v9.02 also be updated to reflect the new known issue?
  • XIP was listed as a known issue with limitation (such as 1MB max size) but is actually resolved in the SDK.. Are there any other issues that are similarly listed as known issues, but are actually resolved?

Best regards,

Mari Tsunoda

  • Hello Mari,

Is there also any document they should check between these two versions other than the Release Notes?

This is the primary document to check, I am not aware of any other recommended documents to review.

If an issue is found on v.10.1 that applies to v9.02, will the release notes for v9.02 also be updated to reflect the new known issue?

Not typically because the release notes are tied together with the SDK release and so updates would increment the revision history.

For you other questions I am looking in someone from our SW team who can better answer them:

  • Hi Ralph,

    Thanks for the response.

Please keep me updated on this.

I have aligned with Nikhil regarding this so this is resolved. Thank you.

I received a follow-up question from my customer regarding the new SDK 10.1.00.31 release. Could you tell me what this update in the What's new section means?

Also it says in the release notes: "OSPI and FSI LLD support" (SDK10.01.00.31) and "OSPI Flash File System support" (SDK 10.00.00.35)

Could you tell me what these new updates mean? Also do these updates relate to what is written in the What's new section?

    Best regards,

    Mari Tsunoda

  • Hi Mari,

Could you help me point to this "What's new" section and the release notes which says this?
I am not able to find this in the SDK documentation below

    AM263Px MCU+ SDK: Release Notes 10.01.00

    Regards,

    Nikhil

  • Hi Nikhil,

Looks like its on the product page download:

    Mari,

This statement is because we discovered an issue with the OSPI support for the Rev A version of our ControlCard EVMs. This latest release resolves that issue. The SIP / Non-SIP is meaning the devices with Flash on Package (AM263P ZCZ_F) vs devices without Flash on Package (AM263P ZCZ_C and ZCZ_S). The SIP controlCARD isn't public quite yet but will be soon (which is why I don't mind saying it to world Slight smile).

    Best Regards,
