TM4C1294NCPDT Launchpad pinout cheat sheet

I just made a cheat sheet for my connected Launchpad. After, I soldered on a header. 5751.ConnLaunchpadPins.pdf  

Just print it out and It fits right over the pins . I had trouble with the scale the first time. I printed it using the link. In the print page "fit to page" was checked. so, it didn't print to 100% scale. Just uncheck.

        That is a nice idea. Those pinouts are for connecting the Tiva Connected Launchpad to a breadboard. From the instructions the header pins would need to bent to become L-type header.

  • I looked at doing that with some 90 degree headers. but, it just looked goofy and reading the silkscreen would be next to impossible. I have a bunch of male to female jumper wires bought off ebay. I like the board sitting upright any ways. This way it makes it a lot easier to get wires on the right pins.  Ever spend a hour or more debugging something just to find you put a wire on the wrong pin?

    Your, choice. But, for me I will install the L-type headers and connect it to breadboard like below.

  • put it on the bread board with some wires on the the back side where the silkscreen is. then, search for the right pin to hook something up with the female headers in the way and the small text of  the silkscreen. In the photo, it looks like they used a regular double row header that won't work on a bread board, without shorting pins together, because the header pins are to close together.  the only way to make it work is to have headers with really long pins and bend them. I don't think I've seen those anywhere. If I did find them imagine how hard it would be to get the launchpad off the the breadboard without breaking something. That's a lot of pins to get out at once. The launchpad would be on that breadboard forever. But, given how inexpensive they both are may not be that big of deal. I looked at putting a single row header on each side of the board. But, the pins are not long enough to make good connection with the bread board on one side. If there is a header out there that can make it happen, i'd like to see it.

  • hmm...I like how neat that is. but, removing it from the breadboard would be very difficult without  breaking something. I just pulled a 16 pin header connected to a lcd module off a bread board. I was afraid it would break, it was that hard to pull off.  pulling what is it 98 pins at once...... I still like the way i'm doing it. the only change i'll make is to use a female header not the male. but I had the 50 of the males sitting in the parts box.

    Usually a tool like a needle nose pliers or tweezers can help remove components from breadboard. I think I won't have any problem removing a Tiva Connected Launchpad from breadboard as I have many experience removing components from breadboard. That action is now part of my muscle memory.
