This is my second post. I am very very sorry but I think I posted my first post in the wrong forum and this is the one that is appropriate. Please forgive my error since I am not yet used to this forum format.
Anyway the post is the following
------------------
This is my first post in the forum and I am not really sure if it is the correct place to post it.
Some years ago I purchased a Stellaris LM4F120 Launch Pad.
For one reason or other, I didn't open it, and haven't used it so far. So, right now I finally opened it, and intend to use it to do some development. I am still learning how to do this and what tools to use. I think I installed a IAR Embedded Workbench in my computer some time ago too (again, never used it)
I have found though that apparently this product has been replaced by the Tiva-C Launch Pad....
So I would like to hear any advice, comment or pointer about if I am going to find any problems with the current tools and software and how to proceed.
Can the current boosterpacks work with my pad??
Thousand thanks in advance

I would appreciate any advice on this regard and again my apologies for my mistake
Feel your pain. And note that our small firm has at least ten (similar) "unopened" boards from multiple vendors.
We've past used IAR and your exact board - the pairing can be made to work.
That said - the MCU on your board is a very "ramped down" one - it was this vendor's first venture into Cortex M4. (your board's "class" of MCU)
In your case - that MCU is without the highly popular PWM Generators. (it's not just under-served - it has none!) You can tease the MCU's Timer to create a "lesser" PWM output - as always much depends upon your application.
If it was me - I'd trade and/or sell your board - and move to this vendor's newer, higher performing (TM4C) devices. My belief - it's bit pointless to develop w/a "dead/buried" device - and one "hobbled" w/design limitations...
