LM3S8971 RA2 & TM4C1294NCPDTi3 RA2 produce same symptom.
PWM dead band generators pwm out pulse width asserts 120ns FED as programmed producing distinct delay pulse appended to end of additional periods. Datasheet illustration, text infers pwmA out RED added to the shorter delay pulse forms pwmB FED.
The result is a very wide dead band delay A-out asserting on high side PWM outputs. Delay period B-out actually asserts a very distinct delay pulse seemingly on the wrong low side PWM output pins. Seems as if the dead band generators outputs have been internally wired backwards to the package pins or the circuit analysis is worded differently from what actually occurs on the PWM pins. Some kind of anomaly is occurring in dead band generation either software of hardware could be causing uneven PWM symmetry around dead band RED/FED generation.
The result is a very wide pwmA RED period of 1.2us and a very consistent 120ns FED delay pulse after the first PWM cycle. The dead band generators are both programmed the same 120ns period so what is happening?
